Young Harris College Property
The Young Harris property is an undeveloped parcel located in the Cascade Heights residential area on Flamingo Drive, in southwest Atlanta. Although less than one acre was purchased in this acquisition, the Young Harris property contributes to the growing number of protected stream footage in this segment of North Utoy Creek. The property is a small peninsula into the creek, and is land-locked from Flamingo Drive. Acting as a natural stream buffer that filters sediments and pollutants, stream segments that are protected by the Greenway Acquisition Project ensure that the ecological integrity of the aquatic system is maintained.
