Merritt Property
This conservation easement, located in a residential area on Ridgewood Road in northwest Atlanta is a Priority 1 streamside property for acquisition. It is located along Peachtree Creek. The Greenway Acquisition project has been very successful in protecting streamside properties along this urban creek. Since a large number of adjacent conservation easements have been purchased on Peachtree Creek, there is now connectivity of protected greenspace in this area. A connected series of greenway properties helps to protect the biological integrity of plant and animal species within the Peachtree Creek stream corridor.
