McGehee Property
This Greenway Property was the first property to be acquired along Proctor Creek for the Greenway Acquisition Project. This property is located in northwest Atlanta, and is comprised of undeveloped wooded floodplain land. The property owner sold the approximately 8.6-acre property to the City of Atlanta Greenway Acquisition Project at a reduced price. "Bargain sales" are encouraged under the Greenway Acquisition Project because they allow the City to ultimately purchase more greenway acreage.
