Lawrence Property
The Lawrence property acquisition is located on Sweetwater Creek in Cobb County. It protects 240 feet of stream frontage as well as a wetland area. This acquisition is one of several along Sweetwater Creek. Together these protected properties are building a connected corridor of vegetated buffer areas along the creek. As the counties surrounding the City of Atlanta continue to grow and become more densely developed, protected stream buffers along major creeks will help to minimize the negative impact on the streams of the Atlanta region.
