Jackson Property
This greenway property is comprised primarily of floodplain land. Located across the creek from the previously acquired Lionel Hampton and Beecher Hills properties, acquisition of this greenway property continues to build a connected corridor along Utoy Creek. Multiple connected protected properties create a more stable system for stream and habitat protection. Protection of the floodplain helps to slow the flow of storm water into the creek and therefore, helps prevent erosion and stream bank collapse.
