In addition to its historical significance, this greenway property acquisition will protect approximately 135 feet of the Utoy Creek stream bank. Characterized by mature hardwood trees and lush native understory vegetation, protection of this property from development will help prevent the damaging effects of erosion and sedimentation, while retaining the historical integrity of this segment of Utoy Creek.
