Gardner Property
This greenway property was the first to be acquired outside of Fulton County. The property owner sold over 15 acres of Priority 1 status floodplain property on Intrenchment Creek, located on Bouldercrest Road near East Atlanta, north of the confluence with the South River. This acquisition was encouraged and supported by DeKalb County, and provides an example of how property owners and other jurisdictions can work together to help protect streams in their community.
