New Springfield Baptist Church Property
The acquisition of the undeveloped New Springfield Baptist Church property, located in a residential area of west Atlanta, will protect approximately 75 feet of the stream bank along this segment of Proctor Creek. In addition, a small tributary that traverses the property will also be protected under this acquisition. Preservation of the tributary will have additional water quality benefits for Proctor Creek. The New Springfield Baptist Church greenway acquisition is an example of how property owners can yield positive change in the health of Atlanta's rivers and streams.
