Other Greenspace Programs at the City of Atlanta

The City of Atlanta is committed to increasing the amount of greenspace it currently owns and maintains. The City of Atlanta recognizes that the preservation of greenspace is beneficial to its citizens because the protection of greenspace promotes a healthier environment. In addition to the Greenway Acquisition Project, the City of Atlanta is exploring and taking part in other programs and funding sources that promote the protection and preservation of greenspace. These programs are administered by the Department of Planning and Community Development.
