Learn how to reduce your water use and save money!
Through December 2004, the Department of Watershed Management
will present a series of workshops including:
- U-Fix-IT !(Minor Plumbing Repairs) –
Available to your community or organization upon request.
Conservation methods and recommendations for reducing water
usage will be discussed. Hands-on demonstrations for leak detection
and simple toilet and faucet repairs will be presented. We will
distribute free, Department of Watershed Management water-saver
devices and provide sources for water saver devices for those
who want to do more.
- Free Xeriscaping/Waterwise Landscape Workshop
– May – August, 2004
Learn how to have a beautiful landscape and protect the environment
at the same time. From June through August, we will provide free,
one-on-one instruction in Xeriscaping, a technique that helps
conserve water while providing attractive, low maintenance landscaping
for homeowners.
A “Xeriscape consultant” will visit your home and
make recommendations on how to create a beautiful landscape that
can also save you money on your water bill! The site visit takes
