History
The City of Atlanta is required by the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD)
to address water pollution associated with stormwater runoff in
the City. It is a fact that stormwater runoff is a major contributor
of pollutants to the many creeks and rivers in the metro area. In
addition to pollution control requirements, the City faces significant
improvements for flood controls.
