Project Location

The 2005/2006 phases of the Sewer System Rehab Program will be concentrated in four basins Peachtree Creek (PTC), Proctor Creek (PRC), Utoy Creek (UTC), and South River (SRV). Please refer to attached maps for more detailed information regarding location. Every quadrant of the City will be affected by the Sewer System Rehab work.

Implementation Plan:
The Sewer System Rehabilitation Program will be implemented through the use 5 contracts. The annual contracts will be referenced as Small Diameter Sewer Rehab Contract (SDRC), Sewer Group 1 Rehab Contracts A, B, C and D. Sewer Group 1 represents the sewers that are considered to be in the highest priority for rehab based on historical and maintenance records; however, the rehab program will not be confined to the Sewer Group 1 sewersheds.

For the SG 1 Rehab Contracts, the sewersheds will be assigned by basin: Contract A will be assigned to the Peachtree Creek basin, Contract B will be assigned to the South River basin, Contract C will be assigned to the Utoy Creek basin and Contract D will be assigned to the Proctor Creek basin. Once a sewershed is released to the contractor, the full scope of work will begin as determined by the contractor, but under the direction of the Project Manager. SDRC work will be assigned as needed in limited capacity areas as well as SG 1 sewersheds.

Potential Impacts:
Community impacts associated with the project include disruption of service, partial/temporary road closure, work on private property, excavation and noise.
