Means Street Overflow Abatement Project

Description

The Department of Watershed Management (DWM) will upgrade the existing 24-inch diameter combined sewer main to provide adequate capacity for stormwater.  DWM will install storm drop inlets, catch basins and a manhole to help capture stormwater and alleviate overflows.  Traps will also be installed along the pipeline to control sewer odor.

Location

Crews will work primarily in the 500 block of Means Street beginning at the Salvation Army and ending near the Hands on Atlanta offices
